erm
Warning, because the hurricane is about to make landfall.
No. A hurricane watch means that hurricane conditions are possible within 48 hours. A hurricane warning means hurricane conditions are expected in the next 36 hours. So a warning indicates a greater danger.
Within 36 hours
Yes.Do you want to die in a hurricane?
Yes or no because people did not believe the warning.
It depends. For storms that form relatively quickly, the warning period may be a few hours, but thankfully most storms are not like that. Usually, when a hurricane warning is issued, it means that the National Hurricane Center is expecting hurricane conditions to occur in the warning area within 24 hours. However, hurricane warnings are usually issued after hurricane watches, which specify a period of 24-36 hours from the issuing of the warning to the onset of hurricane conditions. When a hurricane is expected to strike an area within 24-36 hours.
NONE
So you don't get stuck in a hurricane. Google Hurricane Katrina for more examples.
Prior to modern weather reporting, people probably got very little if any prior warning of an approaching hurricane.
Hurricane Warning 74+ mph winds A Hurricane Warning (HUW) is signaled by two flags with a red border and black center, when sustained wind reaches 74 mph or 118km/h. When only one of these flags is present, it signals a (severe) storm warning.
Basically, a hurricane warning tells people from the radio and televisions that there is going to be a hurricane. For example in Hurricane Katrina, it was said from the radio to evacuate or if you didn't evacuate, to store loads of food and water...etc :)
