Was gautam budh a follower of jainism or was a student of mahavir?

Gautham buddha was neither a follower of jainism nor a student of lord Mahavir. Both lord Mahaveer and lord Gautham Buddha were of same era. They preached in different directions of the globe. ( There is a concept which says gods of same era cannot teach in same area.. some thing like that) and hence there is no mention of meeting of Gautam buddha and Mahavir bhagwaan. The confusion may arise as Mahavir swamy had a student Gautham swamy ( which was not Gautham bhuda). There is famous story of Mahveer bhagwan and Gautam swamy. Gautam swamy was very dear to Mahaveer swamy and when mahaveer swamy wanted to take Moksha, he realised he cannot be eternal since he has emotional attachements with gautam swamy. So he asked him to go to some far place. In Gautam swamy's absene, Mahavir swamy took his moksha. When Gautam swamy came back, he felt very sad and betrayed about Mahaveer swamy taking Moksha in his absence. He cried a lot. Then Gautam swamy realised the fact that for for the one he is crying (Mahaveer swamy) , has no emotional attachment with him. Gautam swamy that moment left all his emotional attachments with Mahaveer swamy and at that moment Gautam swamy also achieved Moksha. Ans: In reality all religions are written by enlighten people who knows what the difference between any philosophy(not religion ). In reality Mahavir is the pure soul represented and Gautama is our five senses. Therefore according to Jainism Gautama had absolute knowledge after the death of Mahavir because after our death only our senses can be FREE.
