What is the story of the king who turned every thing to gold?

There was a king. He despised the gods for not sharing their glory. In a dream Apollo came and told him that now everything he touched turned to gold. The next morning he said, "It was only a dream right? Many men have had gods in their dreams, it must have been a phony." He went outside and picked up a daisy, he tried to smell it but he didn't smell anything so he looked down and... It was gold! He went around touching everything in sight. suddenly his daughter came up and cried, "Daddy what happened to the flowers, I can't smell them!" She began to cry. "Don't cry." he soothed while stroking her hair, then she turned to gold too1 "Oh well, not everything can go my way." he thought to himself. He went inside for breakfast, he took a bite of his eggs and... almost choked! He tried everything, he even had his servant try to feed him, nothing worked. He begged to the gods to take his gift away. Apollo came and said he would but for loathing the gods and for being ungrateful you shall have donkey ears. For you are so stubborn. Everything turned back and everything was fine, eventually Apollo took the curse off.
