Most Powerful Weapon on Fallout 3

The most powerful weapon on Fallout 3 is not the alien blaster or the gauss rifle, but the Exerimental MIRV. This is a special upgraded version of the Fat Man. To acquire this weapon, you must first complete the Keller Family Refuge, because after completing this, you will have access to a secure section of the National Guard Depot, where the MIRV will be sitting next to the skeletons of the Keller Family. Or, you can use aglitch, where you Just go into Third-Person View, and move your analog stick [or mouse] and look for a different activation line saying "Activate Electrical Switch". You can now get the MIRV without having to find the Keller Family Transcripts. The Electrical Switch will be slightly lower and to the left of the Terminal. A Glowing One will be found at the back of the cave/secret room - Mr. Keller, the father of the family who took shelter in the armory. The MIRV easily has the highest amount of damage for any weapon in the game and any of the expansion packs. yep and it eats up about a 1000 caps per shot.........................use the xualong assualt rifle its cheap and effective

Best Gun on Fallout 3It depends on your play style, if you like to get up close, a Combat Shotgun or 10mm Submachine gun may be the way to go, but will leave you hanging in long range.

If you like to Hang far back, the Gauss Rifle or Tesla cannon may be your best bet, due to the gauss rifle being a sniper rifle, and the tesla cannon being highly accurate and being a Cannon.

If you like to swing between long and close range, your best Choice may be an automatic, or The infiltrator (or Perforator) is also a best choice, seeing how they are silenced, black, Scoped versions of the assault rifle, which deal tons of damage, the Perforator will be hard to get seeing how you need all the steel ingots (from The Pitt DLC)

Experimental MIRV is the best gun

This has been disproven because of the Cost and rarity of ammo (about 350 - 550 Caps)

When i play i play with the:

Perforator as my primary (Hotkeyed up on the D-Pad)

10mm Submachine gun as my secondary (Hotkeyed Down)

Gauss Rifle as my Special Primary (Hotkeyed Right)

Frag Grenades as my explosive (Hotkeyed Down-Left)

Stim-pack as my Heal (Hotkeyed Left)

It depends on what metric you are using. You can look at it a lot of ways but the best ways are by Damage per Second, Damage per Shot, or Damage per AP.

First, we have to bar any weapons that are unattainable for xbox or ps3 users. This means we can't get the debug pistol or the Mysterious Stranger's .44 magnum (which does 9000 damage). Only people using the PC version of the game will be able to get this.

If you are looking at Damage per Shot - then you would be looking at the Fat Man or C4 explosive (even though it's, not a projectile... but maybe it can be shot out of a "Rock-It" launcher... I have to look more into that)

For Damage per second, The unique Gauss Rifle - YCS/186 takes the cake (so far to my knowledge) with 420 per second damage and 140 damage per shot.

With Damage per AP, the same gun applies.

Now, if you've taken the Wild Wasteland trait you cannot get this gun but you will get the Alien Blaster instead and it is equally as good (if not better).

Anti materiel rifle if you have all the requirements but it isn't very accurate. Theres the gobi desert campaign rifle which is more accurate, you can find that in the snipers nest near cottonwood cove

The strongest weapon is either the Holorifle, Tesla Cannon Prototype, or euclides Finder but you need to complete the guest at Helios for ammo for it
