Sociology is generally more narrow a field and pertains to social activity while Anthropology covers EVERYTHING having to do with humans within four branches of study. Archeology, Cultural Anthropology, Biological Anthropology and Linguistic Anthropology.

In some academic circles, demography is placed under the larger topic of Human Geography. Either way it is the study of human behavior. Certainly however, because geography tends to influence human behavior, it's a "toss up" as to what category each is placed under.
