when both substances had a pH value of about 6 on the 0-14 paper
If something is a 0-6 on the pH scale it is an acid solution
1-6
0-6 on the pH scale are acidic substances. 7 is NEUTRAL - the pH of pure water is 7. 8-14 is basic/alkaline. When discussing drinking water supplies, a pH between 6 and 8 is generally referred to as neutral, because for practical purposes (drinking, cooking, washing etc) they differ very little from pure water. However, technically a pH between 6-7 is still acidic, and 7-8 still alkaline.
A typical aqueous solution containing phenolpthalein is colorless within the pH range 2 - 6.
0 to 6
The pH scale has values ranging from 0-14. A substance with pH between 0-6 is considered as an acid, one with pH 7 is considered neutral while substances with pH in range 8-14 are considered as bases.
The pH scale runs from 0 to 14. Pure water has a pH of 7, the half-way point of the pH scale. A pH between 0 and 7 indicates that a solution is acidic, and the lower the pH, the higher the acidity. A pH between 7 and 14 indicates that a substance is alkaline, and the higher the pH, the higher the strength of the alkali.
in pH acids range from 0-6.as the highest value is 6 and if the concentration of an acid is 6 it is concentrated as this value drops the concentration drops
0 - 6 Acids7 Neutral8 - 14 Bases
0-6 0 being most acidic 6 being most acidic some people add seen but 7 is neutral in the pH scale
0-6 0 being most acidic 6 being most acidic some people add seen but 7 is neutral in the pH scale
when both substances had a pH value of about 6 on the 0-14 paper
Acids and bases would range from a pH of 0 (extremely acidic) to 7 (extremely alkaline). In practice, it is very unlikely to ever run into a pH as low as 0 or as high as 7, those are only theoretical limits. A more realistic range would be 1 to 6.
From pH 6 - pH 0. pH 0 being the most acidic.
It is the strong (pH=0) to weakly (pH=6) acid part of the pH scale.7 is neutral.
Zinc pH is in the 5 to 6 range
