The author as a child used to draw pictures of the outside of Boa Constrictors, and whenever he would show them to adults, they would always think that it was a hat. When he is flying a plane, he crash lands in the middle of the desert, where he soon meets a quaint little boy. He never answers questions, only answers them, and soon becomes friends with Exupery. We hear about all of his adventures to other planets (since he is from a different planet) and Exupery makes fun of many different kinds of adults. In the end, it seems as though The Little Prince is dead after being bitten by an extremely poisonous snake, but the next day the body is gone and he said that he was going back to his planet since he had said that it had been almost a year. To read it pessimistically you can say that The Little Prince died and his body was blown away. To read it optimistically, you can say that he fainted because of the poison and reawakened in the middle of the night and flew back to his home planet.
