It is a scar.
When a surgical incision breaks, immediatly call your doctor. He will stich it ack together so the wound will heal properly.if not the wound will take longer t heal and the scarwill be more visible If it is an abdominal incision that has opened, you want to cover the wound with sterile gauze to prevent contamination and lay the victim down to reduce abdominal pressure. As above, call for medical assistance. The incision will need to be re-sutured. If intestines are visible or have pushed out, do not attempt to push them back in. Cover them with sterile gauze soaked with sterile isotonic saline solution, if available, to prevent tissue death from drying. If sterile isotonic saline solution is not available, boiled tap water cooled to body temperature is the next best option for moistening the dressing. Call for emergency medical assistance.
