The holy fire or Agni symbolizes the voluntary or manual force.

Hindus worship the seven forces associated with the muscular system.

THE SEVEN FORCES AT OUR DISPOSAL:

They are,

1. Dreaming force - Indra

2. Illusory force - Shakti

3. Voluntary force - Brahma / Agni / fire

4. Semi voluntary force - Vishnu

5. Involuntary force - Shiva

6. Status altering force - Shani

7. Compulsive force - Yama

Dreaming and illusory force can't lead to action in the real world. Thus, the Voluntary force is the first force that enables action in the real world.

The Agni force enables us to execute actions independent of the rest of the activities of our life. It is a transient force that is directly under our control. Thus, it is the best force to start any activity. Using it we can gain control our other forces that are of longer duration or are more powerful.
