Hi. I have to say that most tattoos take on a personal meaning... a large part of their meaning is cultural. Crows/ravens are respected as rather negative to some and very positive to others. I, personally, have two ravens tattooed on my shoulder; they represent Hugen and Munen - they are the birds which perched upon Odin's shoulders in Norse tales. Their names translate into "thought" and "memory." Take the bird you want and combine it with another image... give it some meaning and make it your own. Nobody can tell you it means something other than the purpose you have given it. I hope I helped at least a little.
To me it means a few things combined. The crow represents the bird that was forgotten. A sense of failure, like in the old testiment when Noah sent out a raven and it never returned failing its test, while the dove succeeded and has been long remembered. The skull represents death, whether it be a near death experience or a struggle, or a loved one lost. I have that tattooed with roses underneath to represent the hope you can have by overcoming your struggles. I battled through thoughts of suicide and my tattoo of the crow on top of the skull with roses is a reminder that though I've struggled with thoughts of suicide and failed so many times there's always hope for the ones who have had it rough.

You can get a butterfly tattoo at any local tattoo artist shop. This tattoo is the most common tattoo and you will find many examples of the artwork on the wall and in the tattoo artist's portfolio.
kid? how old are you? don't get a tattoo. It's permanent. If you do get a tattoo, get a Henna tattoo. They go away after a while
When you let a unlicensed tattoo artist tattoo you, you have a greater chance of a botched tattoo, and of becoming infected from improperly handled tattooing equipment
It's a crow, for SAMCRO. All of the SOA Old Ladies have them.
The main use for symbology is to interpret religious and literary texts. Symbology helps one understand the use of certain imagery that authors use in their writing and determine their meaning.
The study of symbolism, also known as semiotics, examines how symbols convey meaning in various contexts, such as literature, art, and culture. This field explores how symbols are interpreted and how they shape communication and understanding among individuals and societies.

Most, if not all, tattoo parlours will tattoo Chinese symbology on your body - given that you are certain what the symbols mean! You will have to do your research, as you cannot rely on your tattoo artist to understand the symbol they are tattooing. Similarly, if being tattooed when abroad, check that the shop is registered, and that you are clear on the translation of what you are having forever etched into your skin. There have been horrific cases where people think they are having tattoos with words such as 'Love' in Chinese symbols, only to be told later that their tattoo actually says 'Soup'!
