Each grade is assigned quality points. For example A = 12pts, B = 9pts, C = 6pts. The points are used to calculate the students grade point average (GPA). You take total number of quality points and divide that number by the number of credits taken, and that would give you the GPA. Thus, an A and a B would total 21 quality points, divided by 6 credits (if the two courses were 3 credits each) would equal a GPA of 3.5 (letter grade of B+).

A Computer monitor is different to the print media (generally paper). The way user reads from these media is different. A print on paper can be rotated or angled as desired by the user. So both LANDSCAPE and PORTRAIT printing is possible. But in case of a computer monitor, it is tiring for users to scroll from left-to-right to read the text. It is much easier to scroll down. Although a LANDSCAPE file is possible for online files, PORTRAIT format is recommended for online use. A print media is irrelevant to the size of the document after it is printed. That is after the document is printed on paper, users will not worry about the file size, thus a highest quality print is recommended to convey the message across in highest standard. But for online use, the larger the files size, the more will be the loading time, that is more waiting period for the user to read the document for the users, making it frustrating for users especially with lower internet connections or CPU capabilities. Thus a compressed low file size document is recommended for online use. The text displayed in print media is due to the light reflected from the print media, this makes it possible to use small fonts in the print media as long as the font is printed correctly. Also serifs fonts can be used to a certain (small) font size (as long as serifs are printed). Whereas with the online media, the text is displayed by projecting the light source on a screen. Depending on the screen resolution (usually between 60-96 DPI, 72 DPI being the standard) the fonts displayed may not be the same. Also since the human eye is directly staring at a light source, concentrating on a rather smaller font size for a long period of time is hard, thus the text may lose its readability. This will highly affect the use of Serif fonts in online media as the serif may not be displayed properly (missing serifs / displayed with colour noise).
