The Titipounamu or Rifleman (Acanthisitta chloris) is New Zealand's smallest native bird.
The moa were large flightless birds endemic to New Zealand. They have been extinct since about the 1600-1700s. There were several species and sizes. The tallest moa was 1.8m to the highest point on its back.
