There have been about 1,24,000 Prophets of Islam (May peace be upon them all. The holy Qur'an mentions some of the in various places. One of the verses from the Qur'an is given below to show the faith of the Muslims about the past Prophets and their Teachings. Translation:

Say ye, "We believe in Allah, and the revelation given to us, and to Abraham, Ismail, Issac, Jacob, and the Tribes, and that given to Moses and Jesus and that given to (all) Prophets from their Lord: We make no difference between one and another of them. And we bow to Allah in Islam." Al-Baqarah-II, Ayat -Verse 136.
