ur distributor is going bad
It's the ignition. Can't remember what it is called but the ignition thing got wet. Have to get another (omni spark)
exhaust /computer to run the extra spark plugs /I think the trans should bolt right up
The dip stick for the trans. is on the passenger side, between the engine and the firewall. Run the engine to normal operating temp. and pull the stick, wipe it, re-insert it and pull it out. Follow the level marker on the stick. If you need to add, you will need a funnel with a long neck and the proper trans. fluid. Like dexron 3.
If your spark plug wires go to the front of the motor and behind the water pump, 99.9% chance its an LT1 (if you're talking the newer LT1. The Older one from the 60's you'd have to run the block numbers)
Some of the features of the LT1 is that the LT1 has a reverse flow cooling system that first cools the cylinder heads. The LT! also helps maintain lower cylinder temperatures that allows the engine to run at higher compression.
In terms of power the LS1 is better. They dyno 300 to the wheels stock and run low 13's with an experienced driver. The LT1 cars dyno 240-250 and run low 14's/
190 It is dependent on what thermostat you have in your engine. The engine will normally run hotter than the temp the thermostat opens at.
turn the key to the on position and you should hear the pump run for a couple seconds.
temp in the run command box causes windows explorer to open showing the contents of the windows\temp directory.
another great way to tell is to ask your parts counter person what the temp setting is on your thermo stat that way you get the right one for your computerAnswerOKAY I UNDERSTAND YOUR QUESTION, I HAVE ONE AS WELL, ALL TRANS AM'S RUN A LITTLE HOTER THEN MOST CARS, 220'F 225'F IS ABOUT RIGHT FOR IT TO RUN THAT HOT, NOW YOUR ELECTRIC FANS SHOULD KICK ON AT 225'F. I HOPE THAT HELPS. that really helps olot
