Who is Jehovah's witnesses founding father?

The term founding father is a term that generally means " A man who founds or establishes something" The Founding father of Jehovah's Witnesses according to this definition therefore would be Jesus since he is the "chief cornerstone" or founder of their beliefs. The modern day history of Jehovah's Witnesses started at the turn of the last century with a man called Charles Taze Russell and a group of bible students (as Jehovah's Witnesses were for some time known) setting up a bible study group in an attempt to return to the teachings of Jesus as outlined in scripture free from pagan dogman.

People think and say Russelites are Jehovah's Witnesses but they are not they are a sect of Jehovah's Witnesses the floor plan is like Jehovah's Witnesses but they knocked down a couple walls?

Charles Russell founded the Watchtower magazine and the Watchtower Society, a legal entity used by Jehovah's Witnesses. He did not found Jehovah's Witnesses, as Jehovah has had his Witnesses since the time of Abel. Jesus is the founder of Christianity, at which point in time all of Jehovah's faithful Witnesses who prior to this had been Jewish, began to include people of all nationalities in the newly established Christian Congregation. Mistakenly, a number of people thought the Bible Students, as Jehovah's Witnesses were known back then, were followers of Pastor Russell. Actually, this was not the case; we follow no human. Our leader or head is Jesus Christ. Because of this erroneous belief, as well as in attempts to discredit the fact that we were (and are) practicing Christians serving Jehovah under the headship of his Son Jesus Christ, they branded us with this apellation, which some still resort to down to this day. Additionally Yes the russelites is what many people called the Bible students at that time but as stated before it was not their actual name. Jehovah's Witnesses never did claim to be called by such a name because they knew who they were following even though Brother Russell was of major importance, he was not their leader, only the most high Jehovah God and Jesus Christ are. The term "Russelites" was never a name that Jehovah's Witnesses or the Bible Students officially adopted or embraced. It also was not ever endorced by Charles Russel himself. It was a term coined by some on the outside of the organization.

Why do Jehovah's Witnesses go to Kingdom Hall and not a church?

What other people commonly refer to as church, Jehovah's Witnesses call Kingdom Hall because Jehovah's Witnesses like to differentiate between the spiritual and the physical. The term 'Kingdom Hall' is used to refer to the physical location where the 'brothers and sisters' gather. But now, on the other hand, the spiritual designation, or the group as a whole is referred to as the 'congregation' for the said reason.

What is an informer witness?

The term is "informal" witnessing. Everyone knows Jehovah's Witnesses go formally knocking on people's doors hoping to be allowed to give a witness for their beliefs. That is the formal, or usual way of witnessing. But if you and one of Jehovah's Witnesses meet you on the street or in a store and you strike up a conversation, they can give a witness for their beliefs 'informally'.

Should Jehovah's Witnesses go to first communion?

Jehovah's Witnesses don't use that term; some Witnesses don't even know what it means although others realize that it is a Catholic ceremony and as such Witnesses have no part of it, as it is considered to be part of false religious worship. We don't use so many terms found in mainstream Christendom, like 'rapture', or 'eternal torment' or 'immortal soul'. And even though we strongly believe in Jesus, we don't even celebrate Christmas. But if this helps; the vast majority of Jehovah's Witnesses don't have any desire to getting into heaven. The Bible states that 'the meek' will have a different 'inheritance'. They "shall inherit the earth'; -- not heaven. So there is no need for communion; because most Witnesses believe that they will not share with Christ as kings, priest, and judges, only a minority of Witnesses have such a hope -- We consider ourselves to be the 'the meek' who submit to Christ's Kingship, along with those God chose to rule with him 'OVER the earth', the 'new earth'.

What is the Another Term of Jehovah?

It is GOD!!!

Are Jehovah's witnesses allowed to attend prom?

Allowed is too strong of a term. Young witnesses are discouraged from attending school dances such as the prom because of the extra association with those who may not share their views on morality and bible principles. It would be up to the parents and if they defer, it would be up to the young witness.

What does the term mish mean in sex?

Is Jehovah's Witness information useful?

Opinion: The "usefulness" of the Jehovah's Witnesses information depends on the subjective needs of the individual exposed to it. Jehovah's Witnesses base the information they give on their understanding of the bible and invite their listeners to use their own personal copies of the bible to verify if they deem their message accurate and useful from a doctrinal point of view. Their message involves how individuals can worship in an acceptable way in order to survive what they believe is a coming destruction of this system of things. Clearly if they are right in this regard the information they are giving is of life saving import. Many individuals believe that living by biblical standards of morality to be beneficial even if there were no long term benefits, thus some would deem that the Jehovah's Witnesses information that encourages listeners to live by a higher moral code to be useful if only in the short term. The Jehovah's Witnesses also publish general knowledge and news items that are of interest to those interested in a wide variety of topics; this information has been found to be useful for individuals in various fields such as teachers, law enforcement agencies, the medical profession and various other professions. Ultimately the "usefulness" of any information depends on how individuals can benefit from having said information and that it somewhat subjective in nature.

Do Jehovah's Witnesses believe in obituaries?

Jehovah's Witnesses may choose to acknowledge obituaries as a way to inform others of a person's passing. However, they do not believe in traditional practices associated with death, such as wake services or elaborate funeral ceremonies. Instead, they focus on comforting the grieving family and maintaining a hope for the resurrection.

What is the difference between Jewish and Jehovah's witnesses?

The Jews live by the Torah (the Law), that which is taught in the Old Testament of the Bible; plus their Oral Torah (Talmud). The Jehovah's Witnesses are a breakaway from 'the International Bible Students', who stem from the teachings of the Adventists, who are a breakaway from the Millerites, who were influenced by the teaching of William Miller (a preacher who broke away from the Baptist Church). Jehovah's Witnesses live by the teachings of the Watchtower Bible and Tract Society and their "interpretation" of the Bible.
