By definition, there are no extinct species still alive today. Any creature deemed extinct, and then later found to still be alive, must have been wrongly classified. The term for animals or other life forms still with us today is... extant.
There are examples of animals thought to have been extinct and then rediscovered in modern times. One is the Coelacanth (pronounced SEEL-uh-kanth,) a primitive fish that was believed to be extinct since the Late Cretaceous Epoch, some 60 or 70 million years ago.
