What is the theme of a kiss before dying?

It´s a detective story, a young man, determined to get the money of an owner of a large company (Leo Kingship), starts an affair with the youngest of his daughters, Dorothy. But she gets pregnant, and he, knowing that her father would not give any money in this situation, kills her in a way resembling a suicide. Then Bud (the murderer) goes on and hits it with Dorothy´s older sister, Ellen. But she starts an inquiry and finds out that he had killed her sister, so he kills her too. Still wanting the money, Bud decides to marry the eldest of Leo´s daughters, Marion. He almost makes it, but they all find out what he had done. They want him to be punished, but the police would not have a prove, so Leo kills him himself. It´s a really great book.
