The Enlightenment: the belief that every man is rational and can think for himself, that you should not blindly believe in authority figures, and also the belief in freedom of speech and freedom of religion. Notice the similarity between the American pledge of allegiance and the motto of France during the French Revolution, they both contain the message of freedom and equality.

The libertarian theory of the press is most often associated with today's mainstream US news media because it emphasizes minimal government intervention and prioritizes freedom of the press. This theory aligns with the principles of a free market-driven media environment, where media outlets are free to operate without censorship or control from the government.
From the Jewish perspective, the story of creation as outlined in the Torah, doesn't tell us how HaShem created the world, it tells us WHAT He did. The majority of Jews do not see any conflict between the story of creation and the theory of evolution and the big bang theory.
Judaism teaches that the story of creation tells us WHAT HaShem did in regard to creating the universe, NOT HOW He did it. For the most part, Jews (including religious Jews), find no conflict between the story of creation and the Big Bang Theory.
There is no known plant species commonly referred to as a "volcano flower." It may be a misconception or a fictional creation, as volcanoes are more associated with destructive eruptions rather than nurturing plant life.

Violence is not taking over the world. Violence has been a part of life since the dawn of creation. (regardless of what creation theory you subscribe to) If you subscribe to "the big bang" theory, the very creation of the planet was violent. If you subscribe to the bible's teachings, violence is traced as far back as Cain and Able, the sons of Adam and Eve. It only seems worse these days, as todays technology brings us news from around the world at a moments notice.
The Big Bang Theory represents the creation event for our existence in a traditional fourth dimensional SpaceTime continuum. Without this environment, there would be no galaxies, solar systems, or planets. So while the Big Bang Theory provided for existence within the universe, the actual formation (or creation) of solar systems and resulting planets would be more accurately present in the Nebular Hypothesis (sometimes referred to as the Nebular Theory).
California is most commonly associated with earthquakes in the lower 48 US states. California sits along the San Andreas Fault, a major tectonic boundary that is known for producing large earthquakes. Washington also experiences earthquakes, but they are less frequent and severe compared to California.

It is accepted by many in the US, and rejected by others. Most of those who reject evolution are on the Christian Right, rejecting it in favor of a literal interpretation of the biblical creation story. Outside of the Christian Right, most Americans who care about the Bible accept the idea that the creation story in Genesis is not intended to replace or supplant science, but rather, it should be read as a parable, to teach us about our place in the world.
