The thin country running along the end of the great rift valley in Africa is Malawi. It lies between Tanzania, Mozambique and Zambia. You have probably not heard of it because there are no violent conflicts, wars and there is enough food for the people. It is one of the most beautiful countries in the World, and life is not as expensive. Visit the country one of these days - and give me a call when you come!

The Great Rift Valley is one of the largest divergent plate boundary rifts. It is also one of the best known rift valleys The Great Rift Valley is on a plate boundary. The plate boundary is a divergent plate boundary, meaning that the plates are going in opposite directions. As they separate, a gap in between the plates is created, thus forming a valley. In the Great Rift Valley's case, an incredibly large valley is created. It is also a frequently traveled Valley, as there is a highway on one side of the valley and a Masai village is right along the valley. There are many vendors along the cliff-side. Not many other rift valleys are this inhabited. The size, fame, and inhabited features of the Great Rift Valley make it so unique.
The Great Rift Valley is in Central Africa, over 1000 miles from Israel. No country is separated from Israel by this gorge because they could more easily go around it to get to Israel anyway.
