There are three different answers depending on the time of year.

From 16:00 UTC on the day before the first Sunday of April until 16:00 UTC on the day before the first Sunday of October, when Sydney is on Standard Time, Sydney is nine hours ahead of Scotland.

From 01:00 on the last Sunday of October until 01:00 on the last Sunday of March, when Scotland is on Standard Time, Sydney is eleven hours ahead of Scotland.

During the rest of the year, when both Sydney and Scotland are on Summer Time (a.k.a. Daylight Saving Time), the time difference is ten hours.

12:00 GMT (in Scotland Oct-Mar) =
13:00 BST (in Scotland Mar-Oct) =
22:00 AEST (in Sydney Apr-Oct) =
23:00 AEDT (in Sydney Oct-Apr)
