All Honda engines up to 2002 have a timing belt that must be replaced. Starting in 2003 the 4 cylinder in the Accord has a timing chain, but the V6 still has a timing belt.
All Honda V6 engines to date use a rubber timing belt
Yes. All Honda 6-Cylinder Engines made after 2000 have Timing Belts.
allmost all v6 engines comes with timing belt
The 2010 Honda Civic ( 1.8 and 2.0 liter four cylinder engines ) has a timing CHAIN
Honda engines with a timing chain do not require any regular scheduled maintenance. The chain should last the life of the engine.
Honda engines are interference engines. That means if the timing belt breaks, catastrophic damage could result when the pistons hit the valves.
Most older Honda engines have timing belts. However the Honda 2.4L engine used in the CRV since 2002 and in the Accord since 2003 has a timing CHAIN. Yes the 2007 CRV does have a timing chain and not a belt
Probably yes. Honda's engines are so-called "interference engines."
All 1996 Honda vehicles have a cam belt. Warning: They are all interference engines.
All Honda engines of that era are INTERFERENCE engines (i.e.: they WILL self-destruct if the timing belt fails wheile the engine is running) Up until the 2002 model year all CR-V's use timing BELTS. Starting in '02 Honda switched to timing CHAINS.
VTEC stands for Variable Valve Timing and Lift Control. It is a valve timing system developed by Honda to improve both performance and economy in their four cylinder engines. At low RPM the engine is more fuel efficient and at high RPM the engine produces more horsepower.
