To set timing, you must first disconnect the tan/black wire found behind the plastic relay cover mounted on the passenger side of the firewall under the hood. Next start the engine and idling in park, engine warm, timing should be set to 0 degrees. When finished adjusting timing, reconnect the tan/black wire and disconnect the battery to clear a code that sets with the tan/black wire disconnected.
