5 degrees before TDC
I have an old 245 point distributor wondering what the correct point gap is
0.012 to 0.016" or 0.3 to 0.4 mm
The difference between a hemi 265 and a hemi 245 is the horsepower. The 265 has a 218 @ 4,800 gross horsepower while the 245 has 165 @ 4,400 gross horsepower.
The 2000 4.7L is not a hemi. It does have a timing chain.
No, the C has the hemi engine which has a timing chain.
Variable valve timing.
The newer hemi, is more powerful because it has variable valve timing. Different engine managment systems, fuel system, and camshaft design. The engine can advance the timing and retard the timing based on the demand of the driver.
The 5.7L Hemi will run the same on 87 or 93 octane.
Timing is not adjustable, the computer controlls all of that.
The oil pump on a 5.7L Hemi is under the timing chain, on the front of the crankshaft .
setting timing on a f150 4.9 6cyl
Not sure what you are referring to. The ignition timing is computer controlled and is not adjustable. Not sure what you are referring to. The ignition timing is computer controlled and is not adjustable.
There is no timing adjustment, The computer controlls the timing.
