The 1977 Corvette 350 LS has ignition timing standard in this model. The purpose of the ignition timing is to help start the car in synchrony.

Factory stock ignition timing for the Corvette 327 ci 350 HP is 4 degrees BTDC.
8 Degrees BTDC. / Before top dead center. Be sure to unhook the vaccum advance on the distributor when setting the timing.
The Chevy 350 does not have a timing belt, It has a timing chain. If you are wanting to know where to set the timing, then I need to know the year of the engine. Thay are all different.
Check your compression, crankshaft timing and ignition timing (crankshaft timing first THEN ignition timing)
Just set timing for 4 deg BTDC on my 69 runs great.
If its a 350 vorteck there is no adjustment, Its controled by the computor.
4 BTC what is the timing on a 1996 chev 350 marine 275 hp
6 degrees BTDC / Before top dead center
Check water pump and pump gasket.
The timing depends on model and year. Try 8 degrees BTDC. It should run fine at that setting.
