If it is a CRX then I believe it is an interference engine and yes you could have possibly damaged your valves pistons or both with the timing belt failure. The only way to know for sure is to do a compression test on the vehicle assuming it will still turn over after you fix the timing belt
Crankshaft timing mark should be lined up with the triangle on the oil pump cover (at 12:00). Camshaft timing mark should be at 9:00 lined up with the cylinder head surface, and the dowel should be at 12:00. This is for the SOHC motor
left front engine up, take timing belt cover off. Remove timing belt. remove bolts from water pump. but new water pump on. Set timing belt in the same position. But the timing belt and the pullies back on. Then your Finished. Looking at the repair manual this is a lot harder than it sounds because, u have to remove the motor mount to remove timing belt.

Neither its a gear set. Well depending if you have the 2.2 Ecotec or the 2.4 QUAD DOCH. Those engines have timing chains. The 2.0 has 2 gears. one on the crank and one on the cam. The others both have timing chains because they are DOCH 16 Valvers
there's no b15 Honda engine, if you meant d15 it will fit
base timing should be set through the distributor with a timing light. hook up one terminal of timing light to #1 cylinder's spark plug wire and other terminal to negative battery terminal. point light at crank pulley and adjust timing by un bolting the distributor and turning it slowly until the mark from the timing light on the block correlates to 16 degrees BTDC. any other electronic ignition timing on a custom tuned vehicle should be altered via tuning software and laptop by a competent high performance tuner.
Its has a timing belt (2.0l 16 valve dual cam ) and a timing chain in rear of camshaft.
