The Grimmerie
Theater critic David Cote wrote a book about the making of the musical 'Wicked'. The book's title is 'Wicked: The Grimmerie, A Behind-the-Scenes Look at the Hit Broadway Musical'. It was published in October 2005 by Hyperion. It's 192 pages in length. The book is co-authored with photographer Joan Marcus and 'Wicked' creators Winnie Holzman [b. 1954] and Stephen Lawrence Schwartz [b. March 6, 1948].
There is no film of wicked but there is a book and musical. i think people are thinking of making a movie though
Wicked is a musical as well as a book. Both the musical and book include drama.
You can read the novel the musical was based on Wicked: The Life and Times of the Wicked Witch of the West. But be warned that the book is very different to the musical, with dark themes and adult content.
The book 'Wicked: The Life and Times of the Wicked Witch of the West' came out in 1995. 'Wicked: the musical' (only the best musical ever) came out in 2003.
Winnie Holzman wrote the book for the musical Wicked.
There well may be a film about the Wicked Witch of the East if the success of the musical 'Wicked' continues. Within the next couple of years, there may be a film version of the popular musical based on the popular book of the same title. Any film version will concentrate on the interaction between Elphaba, the Wicked Witch of the West; and on Glinda the Good. But just as in the play and the book, there's room for Nessarose, the Wicked Witch of the East.

Two books trace the history of the musical 'Wicked'. One is Carol de Giere's book, 'Defying Gravity: The Creative Career of Stephen Schwartz from Godspell to Wicked' [New York: Applause Books, 2008]. The other is 'Wicked: The Grimmerie, A Behind-the-Scenes Look at the Hit Broadway Musical' [Hyperion, 2005]. It's authored by theater critic David Coté, photographer Joan Marcus, and composer lyricist Stephen Lawrence Schwartz [b. March 6, 1948].
