I ran 2002 E-Super Duty cube vans, supposedly rated at 210 hp (@ 3000 rpm) & 425 lbs-ft (@ 2000 rpm); however, I think the vans in my fleet got the 275 hp (@ 2800 rpm) & 525 lbs-ft (@ 1600 rpm) version of the 7.3 PSD released in the 2003 model year.
They were incredibly quick at 14k-16k gross on the ground. Total PITA at oil-change time, but beyond Ford's "how inconvenient can we make this" engineering, they were a complete joy to own and operate.
My frontal area was around 100 square feet on each van; most of my drivers ran mostly Interstate. When drivers spent much time above 70 mph (top speed was "over 82 mph"), fuel economy dropped into the low-12s (mpg), but when driven normally and speeds were kept within posted limits, mpgs in the mid-to-high 14s were not unusual.
