There is a sequence for torqueing down the head.
1. Torque to 44 ft. lbs.
2. Loosen 1/2 turn.
3. Torque to 44 ft. lbs. again.
4. Tighten 1/4 turn from step 3.
5. Tighten 1/4 turn from step 4.
Follow sequence when torquing down the head. If you don't know what it is. Start in the middle and torque it down in a criss cross fashion towards the outside.
