The torque for the lug nuts on a cat backhoe 426c depend on what size the lug nuts are; for 1/2 lug nuts the torque should be around 80; for 9/16 lug nuts the torque should be around 140.

There are a couple of different tools that are good for tightening lug nuts. A torque wrench and a lug wrench are good for tightening lug nuts. Typically lug nuts would be tightened with a torque wrench, but a lug wrench is much cheaper.
Connecting rod bearing nuts are torqued. How much you should torque the nuts depends on the year, make and engine.
Much like any other type of wrench, a hydraulic torque wrench is used to tighten or loosen fasteners, such as nuts. The difference is that the torque is created by hydraulic means (think pressurized liquid).
Tighten them too loose and they may come off. Tighten them too tight and you may warp the brake rotor. For those reasons it is critical to torque them correctly.
Just criss-cross on the bolts and don't tighten them all in sequence, just like tightening lug nuts on a wheel.
22 ft lbs torque on the rocker arm nuts is all that is required.
Lug nuts you will want to tighten by hand with a lug wrench, so you can get them off with a lug wrench on the side of the road.
