Almost 70%

The veins. At rest, about 65% of the body's circulating blood is located in the veins.
veins-64% of the blood volume.
Veins hold the greatest volume of blood: Veins= about 1/2 Heart and lungs= about 1/4 Arteries= about 1/4 Capillaries= about 5%
Actually most blood is in the Veins. Approximately 60% of the total blood volume is present in the systemic veins at any given moment. Also, at any given moment, only ~5% of the total circulating blood is flowing through the capillaries. Source: The Vander's Human Physiology textbook, and I just had a test on the circulatory system, so it's sort of fresh in my head right now lol.
veins and venules
VEINS have largest volume of blood because they are more compliant than artries .
A woman's total blood volume increases during pregnancy, which increases the blood pressure in the venous system. In addition, the hormonal changes of pregnancy cause the walls and valves in the veins to soften.
In the veins and venules at any given time.
our total blood volume is unevenly distributed amongst the arteries, veins and capillaries. The heart, arteries , pulmonary and systemic circuits contain about 1.5 liters of whole blood. The venous system contains 3.5 liters, which is circulating within the liveer, bone marrow and skin.
Veins
It is bigger because it has to withstand higher pressure from the heart. Your arteries have to send oxygenated blood throughout the body, so for the heart to push the blood hard enough the artery has to be able to withstand the force. -------- Answer #2 Arteries are not actually larger than veins. By thickness an Artery is technically thicker because it has to have thicker walls in order to transport oxygenated blood at a high pressure. Veins have thinner walls(they transport the same amount of blood but at lower pressures than arteries) but are actually slightly larger in comparison to arteries in circumference. If you were to think of them like pipes, they would be ranked from largest to smallest as: -Vein(smaller veins are known as venules.) -Artery(smaller arteries are known as arterioles.) -Capillary(smallest of ALL blood transporting tubules.) Keep in mind Veins transport un-oxygenated blood back to the lungs for re-oxygenation while arteries carry oxygenated blood to the vital organs. Capillaries are like little side streets that help feed blood to the necessary parts of your body that aren't on the main highways. Varicose or Spider-veins are actually not veins but Capillaries that have risen up to the surface of the skin and often broken due to either trauma or pressure.
About 3-4 quarts total. A mortician can drain only about 2-3 quarts as the rest is in capillary veins that don't drain well.
