Ya Windstars can carry the towing package look under the hood you will find two radiators/fans for heavy duty towing and take a look under the windstar you may find heavy duty suspension and of course a trailer hitch. The towing package can also have a upgraded tranny.
I believe it is up to 7000. Less for a 3.7L
3500 lbs. but you must have the towing package installed. Towing package includes the rear load levelers, heavy duty alternator, heavy duty radiator/automatic transmission cooler, heavy duty turn signal flasher, and an engine oil cooler. I think the heavy duty automatic transmission cooler in located inside the heavy duty radiaotr, check with your GM parts dealer to see if this is the case. -Tony

"Maximum" towing capacity is the absolute maximum weight that the vehicle can tow with an after market hitch made for heavy hauling, such as a 5th wheel.
