I believe that spinoza was the father of pantheism. In that, I believe that he speaks of God that IS EVERYTHING. There is no overbeing, or idea of God, for God is the idea and also the creator of the idea. I think it shares a bit with Taoism since Tao is unexplainable in it's complexity but is still as simple as water.
