A Clipper Cut.
The overshooting top is not part of a tornado but of the storm that spawns it. In a strong thunderstorm air rises rapidly until it reaches a stable layer where it cannot rise any more. and spreads out, forming an anvil. The fastest moving air, however, is carried some distance into the stable layer by its momentum before sinking back down, forming a bulge on the cloud called an overshooting top.
At the start his distance from the lighthouse is 100/tan(60) = 86.6 m. After 2 minutes his distance from the lighthouse is 100/tan(45) = 70.7 m. He travels 15.9 m in 2 minutes = 7.9 m per minute.
Well, using a^2 + b^2 = c^2, where a and b are the legs and c is the hypotenuse, you need to square 39 and 36. Then your equation should look like a^2 +1296 = 1521, then solve for a^2, getting the variable by itself, so you have a^2 = 225. Then take the square root of both sides leaving you with a= 15. So, the ladder must be placed 15 feet from the base of the house.
The difference in the height of two people is commonly measured from the top of the head. The two people stand back to back and are measured from the top of one persons head to the top of the other persons head. This will show which person is taller. To be exact, a person would have to use a measuring tape to measure each person's height individually.

I might be wrong to whoever reads this, but I think a house-top carpenter is a person who replaces or makes the roof of a house. The carpenter might build the trusses that hold up the roof. A roofer is the person who puts the roof covering (tar paper, shingles, etc.) on top of the trusses.
