USB Drive is a storage device used to store data eg. images, videos, documents etc. It uses small memory chips to store it and the storage capacity ranges from 256MB to 8GB.
If you mean - to use a USB drive to boot up your computer instead of installing the software on the computer's hard-drive - theoretically, yes. HOWEVER - if your USB stick went faulty or you lost it - you wouldn't be able to use your computer !
I don't think you can with USB; with a FireWire flash drive you can use another computer's target disk mode.

If these two computers that you are talking about is networked, then you can access the other computer and simply as saving it there. But if not, use a USB/Flash Drive in order to transfer the file. If you do not have a USB/Flash Drive, then attached it to your email, then access your email on the other computer and save it there.
If you are talking about a fish-shaped flash (USB) drive, it works the same as other USB drives... plug it into the usb port on your computer, save what you want to take to another computer on that drive, and then when you plug it into the USB port on another computer, you will be able to access those things that you saved on the drive.
