A reflex sight provides a crosshair intended for quick, reactive aiming. In the heat of battle a soldier might not have the time for precise aim using the normal scope or crosshair. This is where a reflex sight comes in. It allows the soldier to react on sudden enemy movement and fire a quick shot that might not be precise but should hit the target.
