Kinetic energy is transferred to electrical energy.
Kinetic energy is transferred to electrical energy.
Energy is never lost, it is transformed into different types or transferred into different systems. Some of this is useful energy, for example thermal energy used to power a turbine or generator. Some of this thermal energy is not useful, and instead just heats up the fuel container or components of the generator. This energy has still come from the fossil fuel being burned, but it has not been transferred into the system for generating electricity.
Example: TV. Electricity- Heat, light, sound. Useful energy transfers would be electricity- light, sound because that's what your TV actually needs, but electricity- heat would be wasted energy or a non-useful energy transfer because your TV does not need to produce heat, unless of course you can't afford central heating, but then isn't heating more important than a TV???? Summary: Useful energy transfer: The purpose of the object is fufilled by this transfer. Non-useful energy transfer: The purpose of the object is not fufilled by this transfer, and in effect, this transfer is a "side effect" of the useful energy transfer. These transfers waste energy.
Chemical energy is transferred to electrical energy! :) :p
An electric generator produces electrical energy. It converts mechanical energy to electrical energy by interacting with a magnetic field. The amount of electrical energy converted to useful work in a given time interval is the power output. If the generator is not connected to any load, then no work is done and there is no power.
Kinetic energy is transferred to electrical energy.
The turbine converts pressure & heat energy (in steam turbine & gas turbine), velocity energy (in hydro turbine) into mechanical energy which produces rotation of the turbine. This mechanical force is used to rotate the rotor(which is coupled with the same shaft as that of turbine) of the generator which converts this mechanical energy into electrical energy.
The generators transfer mechanical energy into very useful electrical energy.

The wind turbines is a machine that converts the kinetic energy in wind into mechanical energy. If the mechanical energy is used directly by machinery, such as a pump or grinding stones, The machine is usually called a windmill. If the energy is then converted to electricity, the machine is called a wind generator, wind turbine, or wind energy converter.
An example of energy conversion that produces a useful result is converting mechanical energy from a flowing river into electrical energy using a hydroelectric power plant. The flowing water turns a turbine, which spins a generator to produce electricity. This conversion of energy allows for the generation of renewable and sustainable electricity that can be used to power homes, businesses, and industries.
Transform solar radiation to electricity use solarcell and not the turbine. Transformation of energy from fuel to mechanical energy may use internal combustion engine and don't need to use turbine.
A turbine rotates as a fluid flows through it, and depending on the type of turbine, converts its rotational energy into certain types of useful work. Learn more by following the link I provided.

Energy always turns from useful energy to less useful forms of energy. so in theory the answer is no, but in reality there is always some heat generated in all transformations.
