I don't generally answer questions regarding value because I'm a collector and not a qualified appraiser
but I can give you a ball-park estimate on this one.
1897's have really been going up in value because the "Cowboy Action Shooters are scooping them up.
This one is from very early in the production run and may be pre 1899.
This makes it potentially more desirable because guns made before 1899 are categorized as "Antique or Curio" and federal firearms laws regarding transfers don't apply. You can sell and ship it without a FFL
Depending on the condition, this gun will bring $800 - 1000 for one that's still in serviceable, $2000 for a good to very good, even more if it's in excellent condition.
What is the value of a Marlin model 3220CL classic serial 3220CL48?
model 2745 serial 1801792
What is the value of a Model 62 Winchester .22 rifle with serial 21072
And the model is...............?
Value of a gun is based on MAKE, MODEL and CONDITION. Not the serial number. We need all 3. You gave us a model. No answer.
No way to value with just the serial number.
Impossible to value with only the serial number.
The value I'd binary digits in reverse order is 1, 2, 4, 8, 16, 32, 64, 128, 256, 512, 1024, 2048, 4096, 8192 The next value would be 16284 so the biggest number is 16284 - 1 = 16283
$1500.00
