That will depend on the exact dates of the individual dimes and their condition. Many of these were in circulation right up to 1964 when production of silver coins was discontinued and are so worn they are barely recognizable. 20 of these would be worth about $10 or less. But 20 coins could be an almost complete set from the San Francisco mint in Uncirculated condition. That set could be worth $5000 or more.

If you have a American eagle Bullion $50 gold coin that was minted in the year 2000, its value in MS65 condition is: $980; if its condition is PF65, the value rises to: $1080. The coin should be carrying a mint mark of "W" or "S."
The spot price of gold as I type this (11-20-09 @ 1:04am) is $1,144.60 the coin is 1/2oz gold so the value is $572.30. Cash value will be a little under spot price at time of sale.
