Please check your pocket change. The Philadelphia mint produced about 1.37 BILLION dimes in 2001 so they're not scarce, rare, or valuable (other than 10 cents, of course).
1965 dimes don't have a P mint mark for 2 reasons. First, Philadelphia didn't use the P mint mark on dimes until 1980. Second, during the coin shortages of 1965-67, the Mint suspended the use of all mint marks including D and S. That means you have an ordinary dime worth face value only.
The P mint mark was first used on dimes in 1980. All earlier dimes minted in Philadelphia didn't carry a mint mark. Please check your coin again - the mint mark position is next to the E in ONE on the back.
The was coin made at the Philadelphia Mint that is why it has no mintmark, 1980 was the first year that US dimes had "P" mintmarks. This coin is still in circulation and is face value.
No such coin exists. All the dimes that were made in 1985 feature FDR on them, not Ben Franklin (Franklin remains on the 100 dollar bill and was on the half dollar from 1948 until 1964 when he was replaced by JFK) 1985 dimes are commonly found in circulation and are just worth face value.
Your coin is worth face value only; hundreds of millions were minted. Note that the coin is simply a 1965 dime, not 1965-P. The P mint mark wasn't used on US dimes until 1980, and no US coins of any denomination had mint marks from 1965 to 1967.
They have to be dimes from 2000..
Unless it's silver it's worth 10 cents. D and P mintmarks are not silver.
The "P" on a USA dime is a mint mark indicating the coin was minted in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania USA. Dimes minted in Philadelphia before 1980 don't have the letter P on them though.
No. The letter "P" dates from at least Roman times.

I do believe that that "P" means that they were minted in Philadelphia,Pennsylvania.

Please take a look at your pocket change. Roughly half of all dimes in circulation were made in Philadelphia. The fact that it has a P mint mark indicates it was made in 1980 or later (dimes made in Philly up till 1979 didn't carry a "P" mark) so it's a common coin worth only ten cents.

Well I had $500 dollars in dimes and it weighted 50.6 pounds. Do the math :P
