A few hundred to a thousand or so.
I have the same question, and I was also wondering how to tell what year the gun was made.
I received a letter from SIGARMS dated May 13, 1997 stating "All Sauer production records were lost in 1945 when the Soviet Army occupied the Sauer factory. For this reason, we are not able to offer any information on your shotfgun..... recommend you have a qualified appraiser examine your shotgun.....or contact the National Rifle Association for a recommendation." I have SN 186309. I received a letter from SIGARMS dated May 13, 1997 stating "All Sauer production records were lost in 1945 when the Soviet Army occupied the Sauer factory. JP Sauer made some very fine guns, and it would be impossible to accurate evaluate without seeing it. Could be into the thousands.
Yes. The barrel has to be replaced with the .357 sig barrel, but the magazines are the same.
It is marked on the barrel. If obscured, have it verifed by a gunsmith
That's my dad's name and guess what? he's priceless! ~amber~
The gun you describe is called a drilling. I would search www.gunbroker.com, auctionarms.com or gunsamerica.com for pricing.

Sig Sauer pistols can be single action only. They can also be double, single action where the first shot is double action and the following shots are single action. Also they can be double action only, or they can be double action Kellerman. They give many options for the shooters preference. Just a quick answer without a lot of detail.
PP Sauer is a typo should be JP.
Sig Sauer is the Manufacturers and distributors of ''SIG SAUER'' handguns, Blaser, Sauer and Mauser rifles.
