Please look at the coin again. The first U.S. quarter was issued in 1796.

The only quarter Lincoln has ever been depicted on (the reverse) is the 2003 Illinois state quarter. Furthermore, Lincoln wasn't even born until 1809, so he couldn't have been featured on a coin 23 years before his birth.
