It takes 11 hours to get from the top to thebottom.
It should be on the bottom of the barrel.
On the Baikal/Remington SPR 310 O/U, you simply push the trigger forward to select the top barrel, leave it alone to have the bottom barrel fire first.
Slide the Top Lever to the right to open the chamber. Turn the shotgun upside down. Look at the end of the barrel between the receiver and barrel. Get a flashlight and you'll see a series of numbers stamped in the bottom of the barrel.
Really old airguns usually had a pump attached to the bottom of the barrel. They had a simple trigger and stock. Not much else.

What do you mean "fix"??? ... nothing is broken ... install the barrel, or not ... press on the slide release, located on the bottom of the receiver, near the trigger guard, and push the slide out ... that's all there is to it! if you "work" the action without the barrel, remember to pull open the slide to install (use the reverse method described above ) .. PS: don't pull the trigger without a barrel or dummy round in the chamber ...

Before they were required to be clearly visible on the receiver, one may have been on the lower tang (behind the trigger) or under the forearm, either on the forearm or the bottom of the barrel. Since these guns were made many years before serial numbers were required, there may not be one.
They can usually be found on side of frame, the top of barrel, the bottom of the butt, and inside the frame of cylinder area.
It is a semi or full auto rifle. It has a full stock, long barrel, a flash suppressor, and a 20 shot magazine that sticks out of the bottom just in front of the trigger.
