Look on the back of the coin near the arrowheads to see if there's a small mint mark letter. It may be blank, or there may be a D or S.

Indian Head design $2.50 and $5.00 gold pieces are unusual because they have what care called incuse designs; that is, instead of being raised above the rest of the coin's surface the images and lettering are below the coin's surface.

The 1908 Indian Head penny is a very common cent even today. Its value in circulated condition is only about $1-3.
