Look on the back near the E in ONE for a small mint mark letter. No mint mark is the same as P (now used for Philadelphia coins), D = Denver, S = San Francisco. The "W" on the front is NOT a mint mark; it's the monogram of A. A. Weinman who designed the coin.

Numismedia lists the following approximate retail values as of 03/2013:

No mint mark (Philadelphia):
Very worn condition - $4
Moderately worn - $5
Slightly worn - $5
Almost no wear - $25
Uncirculated - $47 to $525 depending on quality

"D" mint mark (Denver):
Very worn - $4
Moderately worn - $11
Slightly worn - $24
Almost no wear - $84
Uncirculated - $210 to $3,220

"S" mint mark (San Francisco):
Very worn - $4
Moderately worn - $8
Slightly worn - $17
Almost no wear - $83
Uncirculated - $198 to $3,380

DISCLAIMER: The retail values quoted are the best available as of the date shown, but may vary significantly due to changes in the precious metals market. Also the wholesale (buying) price of a coin will be less than the selling (retail) price. A reputable coin dealer will be able to give a more accurate valuation based on inspection of the coin.
