An Australian 1922 bronze Penny (George V), uncirculated and in absolute mint condition could fetch up to $1,750 AUD. If it has been circulated but still in good condition, it might fetch anything from $1 to $200 AUD. There were 12.697 million minted. A reputable coin dealer will be able to give a more accurate valuation.
Average values are 3 to 10 cents for most circulated coins. 1919 is a very common date.
Not all coins need a mintmark. All Australian 1919 Pennies were minted in Melbourne. For reasons that are not explained, most 1919 Australian Pennies had no mintmark, others had a dot above the top scroll and below the bottom scroll, and others had a dot below the bottom scroll.
Average values are 3 to 10 cents for most coins
The 1922 Australian Penny does not have dots. The incredibly confusing system of dots above and/or below the scrolls was used as a mintmark to distinguish between coins minted at the Sydney Mint and the Melbourne Mint in 1919 and 1920.
