With a date of 1943 it can't be an Indian Head penny the last one was made in 1909, 1943 was the one and only year Lincoln cents were made of zinc coated steel so if it is a cent coin it has to be a Lincoln so what ever it is, it has no collectible value as a coin.

it really depends. if its an Indian head penny its probably a dollar. a penny with Lincoln is a really a penny because Lincoln went on the penny in about the mid 1900's.

There is no such thing as a "wheat head penny". Assuming you are referring to a 1917 Lincoln cent, its value depends on its condition and mint mark. See the Related Link for "Lincoln cent prices" to the right. In circulated condition, you'll get about 5-10 cents for it.
