MoreMorgan dollars (designed by George Morgan, hence the name) were minted from 1878 to 1904 and again in 1921. Are you sure you don't have a walking liberty half dollar? They were minted in 1947 but look very different from a Morgan dollar - and in any case they clearly say "half dollar" on the back. If so, please see the Related Question for values.
