1951 was the last year of issue for this coin (1946-1951) it was struck at all 3 Mints. Assuming it's circulated and has no Mintmark, the retail value is $10.00 to $21.00 depending on how much wear the coin has.
Booker T. Washington was the first black man to appear on a US half dollar.
There were no series of 1951 $100 bills ever printed.
Please look at the coin again, it's a half dollar not a dollar and value is likely about $5.00 just for the silver.
July 15, 2009 The Booker T. Washington Memorial 1946 half dollar was produced at 3 US Mint facilities; Philadelphia, Denver and San Francisco. After the series was completed many of the coins remained unsold. An estimated 1,500,000 of the coins dated from 1946 to 1951 were melted. The values for the 1946 coin are the same for each of the mints in which they were produced and is reflected in the chart below. Booker T Washington received an honorary degree from Harvard College in1896, and an honorary doctorate from Dartmouth in 1901. A famous statue, Lifting the Veil of Ignorance, was dedicated to Booker T Washington in 1922. He was honored with a United States postal stamp in 1940 and 1956. A World War II US Merchant Marine Liberty Ship, the SS Booker T Washington, was dedicated in 1922. He was inducted into the Hall of Fame of Great Americans in 1945. A US commemorative half dollar was minted from 1946 to 1951. He was inducted into the Alabama Hall of Fame in 1955.
