If the cent is a large-date piece (the most common), its retail value would be around $12-$15. If the cent is a small-date piece, the value would be around $100. If the dime is missing the "S" mint mark above the date, the set could be worth upwards of $1000. However these are extremely rare and not likely to turn up in the average collection.

Average retail price is $8.00 issue price was $5.00. But check the dime for a mintmark. Some sets were issued with the dime missing the "S" mintmark. These sets are valued at more the $5,000.00.

A British 1983 8 coin "UK" Proof set (£1 to 1/2p), in absolute mint condition could fetch up to £17 GBP.

A reputable coin dealer will be able to give a more accurate valuation.
