I suspect you've made an error in the question.A 1976 Eisenhower dollar is worth approximately $1.00.A 1976 Kennedy half-dollar is worth approximately $0.50.
Check that coin again. Eisenhower was on the DOLLAR, and Kennedy is on the HALF. Either way, bicentennial coins are extremely common and only worth face value.
Uh, a centennial is 100 years. 1776 to 1976 is TWO hundred years so that would be a Bicentennial coin.
Either not Kennedy or not a dollar. Please look at the denomination on the back.
1976 was the 200th anniversary of the US, so that year is the BIcentennial. The centennial was in 1876.Please see the Related Question for more information.

50 cents.
I think you're referring to the word "centennial", but regardless, the centennial of the US was back in 1876 which was 41 years before JFK was born. These coins carry the dual date 1776-1976 so they're bicentennial coins.

Please check your coin again and post a new, separate question. It's either not JFK, not a dollar, or not a centennial commemorative:JFK has never been on a $1 coinHe was born in 1917 so his centennial won't be until 2017You may have a Bicentennial HALF dollar (1776-1976) issued for the 200th anniversary of the US, not to honor JFK. If so please see the Related Question.
The coin is face value, only collectors coins sold from the mint have higher values.
